28 June Studland Beach

Volunteers Meeting and Social Evening

Great fun was had by all - a walk around the dunes and along the beach started the evening, followed by the Volunteers meeting. To round the evening off, a bar-b-que and drinks.

17 July Stoborough Heath Work day - Midweek visit to pull up Ragwort!

Meet - 10 am at the entrance gate

Grid Ref: SY 945855

21 July Hambledon Hill Work day - The annual Ragwort clearance. Help reduce the amount of Ragwort - a plant toxic to cattle - on the Hill! There wasn't much of it last year, but don't worry, with all the rain we've been having there is sure to be lots of the yellow peril to remove.

Meet 10 am at Markstone lay-by east of Child Okeford

Grid Ref: ST 838122

18 August Sunnyside Farm Work day - a continuation of the 12 May Task - that means more fence removal and repairs and tidying the farm yard.

Meet 10 am at Slepe Farm

Grid Ref: SY 959858

15 September Sandford Heath Work day - Another newly acquired site, which is intended to be a new NNR. Lots of work for the Green Team though. The site has been neglected for many years. So that means young pine, which is invading the remaining areas of open heath, is in need of the Green Team treatment!

Meet 10 am - contact English nature Office for details of meeting place
