Bridport and West Bay

Situated between Dorchester and Lyme Regis, this picturesque town straddles the banks of the Rivers Brit and Asker. An historic port town, famous for its rope and net making heritage, Bridport has a brewery and a street market.

West Bay, situated on the mouth of the River Brit, was once called Bridport Harbour, and has an historic connection with the fisheries of Newfoundland, Canada. Recently it has gained a new name; West Bay has become "Bridehaven" in the new BBC TV series "Harbour Lights" starring Nick Berry.
